Trivia Tuesdays Bring Fun and Friendly Competition to Courthouse Square

DAYTON, Ohio — Think you’re a trivia wiz? Test your knowledge and join fellow players at Trivia Tuesdays, happening every Tuesday in October at Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton. The event is free, fun, and the perfect excuse to get outside on your lunch break.

Hosted by the Downtown Dayton Partnership (DDP) in collaboration with Curio and DagaTrivia, the weekly contest runs from noon to 1 p.m. with additional activities at Curio from noon to 2 p.m.

“Even if you don’t think you’re good at trivia, you probably have that one piece of knowledge that could put your team over the top,” said Jessica Sands of the DDP. “It’s a great way to spend your lunch hour, meet new people, and enjoy downtown.”

A Revitalized Courthouse Square

Curio, the bright green shipping container at Courthouse Square, serves as the hub for Trivia Tuesdays and other weekday programming. The goal is to breathe new life into the square, once considered Dayton’s go-to gathering spot.

“We’re trying to make Courthouse Square a destination again,” Sands said. “From free weekday programming to monthly socials, it’s all about creating a space where people want to gather.”

Trivia for Everyone

Trivia host Rob D’Agostino of DagaTrivia brings the questions each week — and no two sessions are ever the same. Categories range from music, politics, and current events to sports, pop culture, and TV theme songs.

Whether you’re a Jeopardy hopeful or just know a lot of random facts, Trivia Tuesdays are designed for all skill levels.

Why It Matters

The Downtown Dayton Partnership’s mission is not only to encourage community engagement but also to spotlight the many locally owned businesses that make up the heart of downtown.

“Supporting downtown means supporting your neighbors,” Sands said. “We want people to explore what Dayton has to offer, grab lunch from a local restaurant, and then bring it over to play trivia.”
