Owner John Loose, a Centerville native, says the rangoon idea started as a way to stand out in the crowded brewery scene. “Every brewery offers similar staples. We asked, ‘What can we do that’s different—and do it really well?’” he said. The result is a snack that’s become a table-by-table staple alongside the tap list.

Beer with a mission

Loose Ends continues its community focus with New Drive, Hope, a hazy IPA brewed as a fundraiser for the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation. “Beer is what we know and love, and pairing it with a cause that matters lets us give back to the place that raised us,” Loose said. Another taproom favorite: Kölsch, a light, crisp German-style beer that’s easy to pair with food.

The brewery also serves sharable trays of small pours—perfect for game day or sampling with friends—alongside a full bar program. Big games regularly hit the screens, and the team even rolls out a 25-foot LED for marquee matchups.

From pizza to seafood, a scratch kitchen

Beyond the rangoons, the kitchen covers a lot of ground:

• House smash burger: two patties with beer-battered onions, pickles and a house special sauce.

“We cut our fries in house, build our sauces here, and keep testing new items,” Loose said. “It’s about making food we’re proud to serve with our beer.”
